We decided the swells in Port Elizabeth, Bequia from the storm were rough and\u00a0rolly and forecast\u00a0to be there for a few more days so Tobago Cays bekoned us. Turquoise crystal clear\u00a0waters for snorkling around\u00a0to spot the fish and turtles along the coral reefs was so inviting.<\/p>\n

Brett skippered us\u00a0down the windward side so we would get more experience with the swells, reefing and sail handling in rolly, windy condition. We saw some amazing boats along the way, which we are sure had quite the crew to handle them.<\/p>\n

On arriving at Tobago Cays you see all the boat vendors who go between the yachts, selling wares from fresh fish & lobster to clothing. Their boats are all very\u00a0unique and colourfully decorated so you remember who you have dealt with.<\/p>\n

We spent\u00a02 days at the Cays lazing\u00a0amongst the other catermarans and yachts and all the kite\/ wind surfers. Maybe theres a reason there are so many kite surfers.\u00a0We snorkled,swam\u00a0with the turtles\u00a0and Brett rode the anchor\u00a0chain for exercise. The waters were incredible.<\/p>\n

After 2 restless nights from the winds, which seemed to really pick up at night\u00a0we decided that we needed to head further north.\u00a0Bretts birthday was also fast approaching and we\u00a0needed to get to a bar and restaurant\u00a0to celebrate\u00a0his special day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
